Aluminum Afterparty
Constructed from 2,879 recycled soda tabs, Aluminum Afterparty transforms discarded material into a glamorous wearable sculpture. Inspired by pop art and the movement of 1920s flapper dresses, the piece uses repetition, shine, and layered texture to turn everyday waste into something decorative, rhythmic, and unexpected.
The dress moves between fashion and sculpture. From a distance, the aluminum tabs read like sequins or chainmail; up close, the recycled material becomes impossible to ignore. This contrast allows the piece to question value, beauty, and what materials are considered worthy of art.
